OUR VISION

AHCD envision an American society inclusive in which immigrants and refugees live dignified lives, contribute their skills, values and culture, strengthening and transforming our community life.

OUR MISSION

AHCD's mission is to welcome and serves, with compassion and respect newcomers from diverse cultural backgrounds from many parts of the world as well, focusing primarily on the Haitian community through the journey of making America their home.

Pursuant to its vision, AHCD aspires to:

  • Provide much-needed social services, advocacy, and economic development assistance, and to facilitate access to mainstream social services,

  • Educate newcomers about American society and culture,

  • Promote civic participation and engagement with the larger community,

  • Promote a positive image of Haitian immigrants and refugees.
